Next Chapter Book Club

A program for book lovers, brought to you by Friendship Circle:

What is the Next Chapter Book Club?

Adolescents and adults with developmental disabilities reading and learning, making friends, and enjoying a fun community gathering place.

How does it work?

Members meet weekly for one hour at local bookstores, coffee shops and cafés to read and discuss a book of their choosing.

Who can participate?

Anyone can participate, no matter their reading or ability level.

Who leads the book clubs?

Trained volunteers facilitate each group. They include students, parents, retirees, people with disabilities, and various community members.

Why join the Next Chapter Book Club?

NCBC members improve literacy skills, make friends, take part in the community, and have a lot of fun doing it!

What books will we be reading?

Contact your book club leader to find out!

Where will we meet?
Meetings will be held weekly in two locations:
• Bexley – Sundays 6:00-7:00, at the E. Main St. Starbucks, starting Oct. 7.
• New Albany – Mondays 5:00-6:00, at the Panera on New Albany Rd., starting Oct. 11.

Where can I get more information? For more information about the book club in general, visit the Next Chapter website. For more information about Friendship Circle’s chapter of the book club, contact Chaya Gniwisch at 614-360-1700 or email chaya@friendscolumbus.com.

How do I sign up? Please RSVP here or contact Chaya Gniwisch. If you are not already a member of Friendship Circle, please register here.

Is there a cost? Participants will be responsible for the cost of any snacks they purchase at the meeting locations and will need to obtain a copy of the book being discussed.
